Cheetah. Mixed media on 8×8 inch linen canvas board (not for sale).

I’m pretty sure that “Cheetah” was my first cat painting… I painted him a few years ago for my Mum, who loves cheetahs. He was also an experiment because I painted him primarily with acrylic inks, rather than paint – and he was my first piece on these lovely natural linen finish canvas boards, which I love. I’d wanted to play with metallic leaf for a long time, so he provided an opportunity for me to add that in the background. I keep meaning to paint more of these and in this style but don’t seem to get around to it. I did a few birds on linen with metallic leaf but always planned to do more cheetahs because their colouring cries out for the gold!
